On the Fast Track to the Digital Transformation With SAP PLM and SAP ECTR
The SAP PLM Forum by LeverX and DSC Software AG set the course for the future collaboration in the US
Karlsruhe, Germany / Miami, USA, October 2019
“Let’s start your digital journey together!” with these words, Dr. Victor Lozinsky, CEO of LeverX, and Achim Rossel, Senior Vice President Business Development of DSC, welcomed about 60 company representatives on October 24, 2019, at Kimpton EPIC Hotel Miami. LeverX and DSC invited to this event together with other partners. The focus: setting the course for the digital future of tomorrow already today – on the basis of SAP Engineering Control Center | SAP ECTR, the strategic integration platform by SAP for SAP PLM.
Customers share their success stories – Digital Transformation made easy
The Kimpton EPIC Hotel was the perfect location for interesting customer presentations, networking, and discussions with the SAP PLM experts of LeverX, DSC, and other partners, such as .riess engineering and XPLM.
The event’s first highlight was the customer presentation by Varian Medical Systems. Varian demonstrated impressively what the next level of SAP PLM with SAP ECTR can look like and which enormous advantages result thereof for product development and all subsequent processes along the digital value chain. Also the presentation of Hillrom, one of the world’s biggest manufacturers of hospital and long-term care beds which also owns the brand Trumpf, was all about the future system landscape consolidation to S/4HANA and the authoring tools with the strategic integration platform SAP ECTR.
The customer presentations by Ariel Corporation, the world’s biggest manufacturer of gas compressors, and Greene Tweed, a renowned manufacturer of elastomers and thermoplastics, illustrated the strengths of LeverX’s IPS solution.
SAP ECTR – Where the Digital Twin begins!
Where does the Digital Twin originate from? From the data that is stored in the SAP system – thanks to the integration platform SAP ECTR, of course! The DSC experts demonstrated in their presentations, which integrations can be implemented and which new functionalities support users in their daily business now and in the future. In addition to the presentation of the latest roadmap for SAP ECTR, as well as the topic of mechatronic product development, the focus was on DSC’s add-on Factory Control Center | FCTR, that closes the gap between product development and manufacturing. Consistent processes from product development to CNC machines reduce setup times and enable a consistent process chain from CAD over CAM to DNC within SAP.
The resulting Single Source of Truth enables a cross-location development of products and their worldwide production for companies. And all of this is possible in one system – SAP!
Dr. Victor Lozinski, CEO of LeverX, emphasized the successful start of the collaboration of LeverX and DSC Software AG in the US with the SAP PLM Forum. “The US market offers significant opportunities for jointly deploying the SAP PLM solution portfolio”. DSC’s vast project experience and tailor-made solutions in combination with LeverX’s market expertise and tools are a perfect match. We are very proud of our event where we had the chance to meet many customers that are using our solutions and presented their experiences so openly and in detail.” Achim Rossel, SVP Business Development of DSC, added that the event was a successful start for the collaboration of LeverX and DSC on the US market. “With this event, we also laid the foundation for establishing an active SAP PLM community for the US market for an open exchange of views between customers and providers”, explained Achim Rossel.
